Free Monthly Lectures with Scott Crawford
2nd Thursday of each month
(March 8, April 12, May, 10) 6:00-7:00pm
Anyone with an interest in art, artists or simply good conversation will enjoy these monthly discussions. Scott Crawford lectures in the Roanoke Valley and
beyond, discussing often hidden meanings in wellknown works of art. Audience participation makes for a lively and educational hour.

(March 9, April 13, May, 11) 11:00 a.m. to noon-ish
Join a Studio School host each month for an art video on a particular artist, subjector technique. In February, we watched and discussed a moving DVD on the life and work of Andrew Wyeth. Each upcoming month's topic and signup sheet will be posted in both school classrooms. Sign up in advance, bring your lunch and prepare to be inspired!

after a day out painting. Unfortunately for Robin, I was given credit for HER painting. Would like to claim its mine, but you all know better.

FRIDAY, APRIL 1... no foolin? COST -.$97 per person, includes a timed ticket to enter the Picasso exhibit. ****those signing on late may need to purchase their own entry ticket and will receive a rebate*** PAYMENT to The Studio School, 1104B Brandon Ave. Roanoke, VA 24015 Checks received by DECEMBER 15 will be included in group ticket purchase.

The Picasso exhibit is on loan from the Picasso museum in Paris, composed of those pieces of art Picasso himself set aside to be his legacy. The group of 180 works, spans the range and years of his painting life. They record the infatuations with each new love, tender portraits of his children, and all the stylistic changes of his explorations. The Virginia Museum is the only East Coast stop for this tour, making this a rare treat to experience.
